Hello my name is Wendy Mora Cedillo, Manager of Engagement. I moved to the United States when I was 18 from my home state of Chihuahua Mexico. Prior to working at Welcome Wellness I was employed for 10 years at Bank of America. I learned several important skills there including customer service, problem solving, finance, and the importance of treating others the way you want to be treated. I also worked as an on-air host for a Spanish radio station for 14 years- working weekends. What I enjoyed about this job was interacting with listeners, informing the community of the latest events and happenings, and of course getting to play music! I also was able to participate in a Catholic on-air show and enjoyed being able to spread the word of Christ to listeners. While the programs I worked on were different I enjoyed the diversity of the listeners and the community that it gave me. My past jobs gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of people and build lots of relationships. I am a parishioner of St. Sabina and love to be involved in the church activities and events. I am a member of the choir and also a member of the Guadalupe Dancers (matachines). I love meeting new people and helping others and I sign up to help at church events any chance I get. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and attend or watch sporting events (Go Royals!). I also enjoy dancing. I love working at Welcome Wellness because I get the opportunity to help others and I love the diversity of ages that I get to be around. It brings me joy to see familiar faces and welcome new people to our space. In particular I am inspired by all the people who walk into the center of all different ages, facing all different challenges and still striving to take steps towards their health. I also enjoy helping the community through our health screenings and have a passion for helping the underserved community. I am thankful for the opportunity to have a job where I can help others while also build meaningful relationships.

Diana Luna Cedillo
Program Coordinator
My name is Diana Luna I am the Program Coordinator for Welcome Wellness. Prior to working at Welcome Wellness was at Children’s Mercy Hospital for 6 years. There I worked as a Medical Interpreter. I received my national certification from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) and had the opportunity to also mentor new hires and students. While at CMH I was active in several different hospital wide committees including Interfaith, Human Trafficking, and La Casa an organization that was made up of Hispanic professionals throughout the hospital who worked together to bring awareness to disparities through community work and fundraising and also help one another with professional development. I was also part of a departmental work group that was working on developing an onboarding curriculum for people with interest in becoming an interpreter at CMH. I have experience in working with minorities and at-risk populations, writing, creating and executing curriculum, and helping facilitate clear and confidential communication. I also worked as a paralegal for 2 years and have experience with administrative tasks, creating legal documents, organization, filing, and working with Microsoft office programs. Both of my jobs required me to be able to practice confidentiality and also taught me to be flexible with my work and understanding of situations of others. In my spare time I like to spend time with my husband, family and friends, travel, exercise, cook new recipes and shop. I enjoy meeting new people and am thankful for a job history that has taught me the importance of creating and fostering relationships with those around me. I have always had one goal when thinking about my workplace and that is having the opportunity to help and serve others. At Welcome Wellness I am able to do exactly that.
